Memory Maples Program- Cemetery

The Memory Maples Program
A Note from the Town of New Haven sexton, Jayme Beyer:

As you all know, the pine trees at the cemetery are slowly being cut down
and removed. The cost of this is very substantial. First headstones must be
moved away from the drop zone of that tree, then the Tree cutting process,
then removal of the logs, then the stump grinding and cleaning up. And
lastly, moving headstones back in place where they belong, and a little
landscaping too. Nothing comes cheaply or free (unfortunately) so The
New Haven Cemetery Association has implemented a program called the
Memory Maples Program. We will be planting beautiful Maple trees at
random throughout the cemetery grounds. We do need help financially.

So this is how the program will work,

1. You will pledge $350 (per maple tree) that will be planted in memory of
one (or more) of your loved ones.

2. A general plaque will be placed in view with the names of the
memorialized persons (and you for your pledge)

Pretty simple!

These Maple trees are very hardy trees. They will show a lot of color in the
fall of the year, and they will live for about 50-100 years. They grow
anywhere from 2-5 feet in a year and the total height of these trees are
about 40-50' tall.They will provide color and shade to the cemetery
grounds. AND they are being purchased from a local business, Harvest
Hills on Hwy 64 just west of Connorsville.
